Bio
Ben Johns was born on March 19, 1999 in Gaithersburg, MD. Growing up Johns played a significant amount of tennis, table-tennis, and baseball. His older brother, Collin, played on the ATP tennis tour. Johns helped his older brother train often, which contributed to his affinity for racket sports. In 2016, he found pickleball, and played the first US Open two months later, placing 5th in the pro singles. This led to the start of his successful pickleball career.
Johns is currently ranked No. 1 in men’s doubles, mixed doubles, and singles categories for pickleball by the Pro Pickleball Association. He is also a senior studying Materials Science & Engineering under the Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. He is a founder and owner of luxury pickleball vacation company, Pickleball Getaways. On March 1st, 2021, he launched a subscription based pickleball instruction service called Pickleball 360.
